About Meetinghouse Solutions

	Meetinghouse Solutions, Inc.      Meetinghouse Solutions has provided governance coaching, training, and mentoring services to over 200 charter schools nationwide, from inner city New York, Chicago, Boston, and Washington D.C. to post-Katrina New Orleans. Through strengthening governing boards, Meetinghouse Solutions helps create sustainable schools that improve student achievement.     In addition to individual schools, Meetinghouse Solutions serves many charter school development organizations, such as Building Excellent Schools, the Colorado League of Charter Schools, the District of Columbia Public Charter School Board, the Illinois Network of Charter Schools, the National KIPP Foundation, New Schools for New Orleans, and others. In addition to direct work with charter school boards, Meetinghouse Solutions has been instrumental in the creation of Massachusetts Public School Performance, a nonprofit providing public school leaders real-time assessment data to improve classroom instruction.     It operates out of the former Harvard  Shaker Meetinghouse, built in 1791.
	Marci Cornell-Feist, Founder      Marci Cornell-Feist is considered the national expert on charter school governance. She founded Meetinghouse Solutions in 2001 and has focused on charter school governance since the mid 1990s. She is author of the Charter School Trustees Guide (second edition planned for release in early 2008) and numerous articles, including two issue briefs for the National Association of Charter School Authorizers.      Before founding Meetinghouse Solutions, she worked throughout the nonprofit sector, including positions as senior staffer at the Massachusetts Charter School Resource Center, Northwest Regional Director for the Student Conservation Association, Deputy Director of the Consortium/UNHCR refugee resettlement program in Lao P.D.R., and Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand.      Marci is a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Bowdoin College.
